Greetings everyone,

Tashi Dorji and I just wrapped up our final tour dates of the year in support of Both Will Escape; thank you to everyone who came out to see us perform last week; love and gratitude especially to those who offered their time and energy to make the shows happen, shared a meal, a place to sleep, or showed us around town…you know who you are – much appreciated! Already planning some 2017 hits for the Spring. More recording is on the horizon…

Deathwave TV was at our Bloomington performance at Indiana University’s Grunwald Gallery this past week and captured the majority of our set. Check it out here:

Deathwave TV has been in the works for quite some time now and they’ve also captured three of my solo sets (in addition to a wealth of other musical performances in Bloomington) if you feel inclined to check ’em out:

Since my last post we got a bit more press as well, most notably a nice feature from our man in Chicago, Bill Meyer, in the Chicago Reader:

Sincerely flattering…thanks again, Bill. We also received our first Japanese review from Tokyo-based record shop Reconquista, presented here in English via Google translator:

“Pretty looking good! After receiving an influence on flamenco and classic, Derek Bailey and John Zorn, went to deepen the encounter own music sense to the music of Albert Ayler Bhutanese guitarist, and Tashi Dorji, duo works by percussion player Tyler Damon! Jazz and improvisation, noise, folk music, wonderfully thrilling performance that was tangled elements of minimal music, let me listen to the vertical of improvisation with a distinctive music and tone each other! Awakening common voice and edgy, such as going to cut through the space, wonderfully sound that fraught with elation, such as invites to the trance state, it will be drawn at once to the performance! In the course of rush into chaos, such as going to born the mystique, wild and intellectual performances are stunning masterpiece! With download coupon! recommendation!”

Thank you Reconquista! Japanese friends, purchase the LP from Reconquista here:

Our good friend (and guitar slinger extraordinaire) Sarah Louise also included our LP Both Will Escape in her “Listed” feature via the always-excellent Dusted Magazine:
